How To Play

Scatter the scoring tokens in the playing area. You can adjust the length and difficulty of the game by removing tokens as desired. Removing tokens with higher numbers will lower the difficulty.

Removing any tokens will decrease the game length.

Shuffle all Letter Cards and deal 3 cards to each player. Place the remaining letter cards face-down within reach of all players to make the deck. The oldest player begins the first round of the game.

  1. PLAY: Play a card from your hand onto the table.
    • A card must be played to either side of a card, or between two cards that are
    already on the table.
    • A card may be rotated 180 degrees before playing it.
    • After playing a card, draw a card from the deck.
    • After playing a card, you may choose to score, if able.
  2. PASS: Discard up to 3 cards from your hand and draw that number of new cards from the deck. After a player chooses to PLAY or PASS, the round continues with the next player seated clockwise.
  3. CHALLENGE: If 4 or more cards have been played on the table, you may choose to CHALLENGE the player who last played a card. You may not challenge yourself.
    • The challenged player draws the top card of the deck into their hand. The challenged player may PLAY any number of cards from their hand to score.
    • If the challenged player is unable to score, a new game round begins starting with the player who made the challenge. The player who made the challenge scores one of the tokens with an “X” (if there are any remaining).

The round ends when a player scores, either through spelling a word, or challenging a player. The player who scored shuffles all of the cards and is the starting player in the next round.

A player may choose to score after performing the PLAY action. After playing a card, if a player has spelled a word with letters equal to the number on a scoring token, they may take that token. The number of points the player gains is on the back of the token (1, 2 or 3).

At the end of a round, if all scoring tokens have been taken by players, the game ends. The player with the most points wins!
